2016 was the place to be,

as it was such a great year

for a future musical career,

My band won 6th place to a regional display,

the highest place the school had ever lay,

on a giant trophy telling us what a great fall we had,

Though the band and I had days in the heat

and it was hard to beat,

We persevered through it all to win such a great place for the community to rejoice.

My section has transformed through my leadership and being revered as the best,

Lest, we not forget about the two-hour long sectionals,

that kept us from our homes,

During times we really wanted it the most.

In the end however,

I've realized my true passion through all this perservence,

Music, Music, and more music,

If I didnt like it, I would've never joined,

After all that, 2016 is truly,

the place to be.
