I'll start off really quiet

I'll have nothing to say 

But give it time 

Soon you won't be able to shut me up

I don't like chocolate ice cream or cake

Or peanut butter and jelly 

 

Number 3

I'm a mess

And I mean in every aspect 

My room is typically a mess

My mind is typically a mess

My heart is typically a mess

I am a mess

Think twice before you ask me about my poetry 

If you really want to see it I'll show you 

But it is a kaleidoscope of every part of me 

It is my most honest me 

And you won't be able to unread the words that your eyes will dance over 

 

Number 5

I love dances and dancing 

But I've never slow danced 

So I hope you wear steel toed shoes 

 

Number 6 

I am already in love 

In love with this world 

The universe

And hopefully someday, myself 

 

Number 7

It will not be easy 

You'll want to give up 

There will be days that you want to walk away because it seems like all I do is shut you out 

You'll feel like you're watching me from behind one-way glass

You see me 

But I'm not looking

And I'll need you to break that glass

Drag me back to earth 

Back to you
