Abroad

Traveling and language learning are my passions;
So I do it as much as possible.
From skimping out on homework to study Korean
To studying abroad in Japan and Seoul in the summer of '16
The excitement never ends
And it never becomes dull.

To be able to hold a simple conversation with a stranger
In a foreign country
And simply learning a new grammar point
These are the most unforgettable achievements
Even if it is just a small proud grin
Or the surprise on someone’s face
When I can speak their native language to them.

Every moment in another country
Is a special memory
I can remember my host mother’s favorite songs
And my little sisters’ adorable personalities.

The connections you can make with other people
And memories you will never make
Are what make all of the hard work
So worthwhile.

I will never stop travelling
And I will never stop learning.
Although quite simple,
These passions of mine
Are everlasting.
