ADHD

A safe place, allowing my mind to stray

Away from the safe space it typically stays

Questions pour out of my head like rain

Questions like,

"For a horse, how much is too much hay?"

"On Mars, how hot are the Summer days?"

"How do I tell someone that I'm in terrible pain?"

No! Don't think that!

Stop thinking, stop thinking, stop thinking,

Stop!

------------------------------------------------

"Are there actually 50 shades of gray?"

"How many brands were represented by Billy Mays?"

Oh God, how can I mute my brain?

"If today is tomorrow and tomorrow is today, then what was yesterday?"

Aaaghh!

"Tuesday?"

Hahahahahahahahaha

Make it stop!

Fumbling blindly for the knob

To turn off this endless flow

Everything's back to normal

And nobody will ever know
