Alone Yet Persued

There's no one here to talk to,
yet you're around all the tme.
When comfort comes to call,
constantly drowning it, is your chime.
All I want is to be heard,
but you feed on my silenced please.
Though you persue me in protection,
you seek to bring me to my knees.
I want someone to hold me,
who certainly is not you.
Why must all others ignore me?
So alone, yet persued.
My secrets are unveiled,
only to whom I trust with my life,
but you cut your way in slowly,
like a dulled down little knife.
Deep inside, I do love you,
it's unfortunate, but true.
You pick me up,
then throw me down.
So alone, yet persued.
