Am I Really That Small?

Location

It doesn't matter my height,
I have to look up to you.

I was born with no choice
As a woman.

That automatically makes me
Smaller
Weaker
Unimportant
Only for your entertainment.

I stand tall,
Trying to make you see me as
Big
Strong
Important
And that I can make an impact.

But society holds me back.
I'm scared
To walk alone at night
To drink at a bar
To go on a date
Without someone else at my side.

But one day
will take charge
will make an impact
will make you see me
For what and who I am.

You don't know it,
But you are
what pushes me forward
what encourages me to be better
to be stronger
to make a stand in the world
and to make a change.

You inspire me to be tall.
