“Make America great again”?

Who says it was ever great to begin with?

This nation is one of the wealthiest,

But even so we aren’t the healthiest.

Suffrage was given, yet women are still fighting for equality

There is still men in this country who believe they are higher quality

Just like President Trump,  

Money can make or break you

We strive to be the best,

But rely on a standardized test,

Education is limited and biased,

Favoring those whose paycheck is highest,

“Citizen or not?” This has become a common concern,

How is it that someone’s status verifies their worth?

Color will change a person’s opinion of another,

Despite saying that we all love each other,

A single negative action can label an entire race,

One person’s acts will shame a group into disgrace,

Again we ask, “Why is America great?”

Why would we call it great, when all we see is hate?
