America the Slaves

America the Brave?

How about America the slaves.

I pledge allegiance to the flag?

What about those who are forced to carry a tag?

God shed his grace on thee?

What about those who live in extreme poverty?

To the republic for which it stands?

Rapists and murderers get away without chains on their hands.

Emancipation proclamation?

Does our own government even follow the Declaration?

Freedom of speech?

Not unless you want to get impeached.

Love wins?

There are still those who still suffer because of who they are within.

Right to bear arms?

Even though they cause so much harm.

From sea to shining sea?

But we want to build a wall so they will let us be.

Promote the general welfare?

Aren't we the only country without health care?

Is it really America the brave?
