The American Dream

The American Dream

Many people strive for greatness

Others are filled with sloth

But we reward the ones who are lethergic

We give them money and health benefits

And rob the diligent ones of their hard work

We grow up thinking we can be anything we want to be

But in this society we can't always get what we want

Uncle Sam takes away our riches

It's handed to the undeserving

You work hard

You get rewarded

Isn't that how it works?

But thats not always the case

We then get into school

So we can endeavor to achieve a goal,

To succeed

But there is always a price

A price you have to pay to succeed

School is the most important

This helps mold the minds of our future

But our education system is tanted

Teachers are paid nothing

Put in debt for helping and doing what they love

Working hard

But some don't care

They don't make us work

They hand it to us

But then we are sent out into this big world,

Not knowing a thing

Not knowing how to survive the debt after school

We need to be put to the test

Everyone

Every school should turn education around

They should have real life situations to handle the real world

How do I do my taxes?

Which job should I pursue so I can pay off my debt?

What do I do if my job doesn't pay enough to pay off my debt?

How do I recieve credit so I can get a car, a house?

These questions are all from students who don't know what it is like

to be put out into the big world

They say to work hard

But not everyone who works hard gets what they deserve

instead we are robbed by Uncle Sam
