Americas Animal Issues

We cannot speak for ourselves

Everyday our kind is hurt in various ways

We have few that want to help

Many of you stand and watch us get beat

I cannot defend myself

If I fight back and win I get put down

If I fail to win it all gets worse

They take it out on my sibling or my mother

We are stuffed in cages

They make us have offspring after offspring

My babies are taken away so quickly

My babies are used as bait

They fight over which dog gets to kill my baby

They bet on who may survive the massacre

Others are more lucky

We are stuffed into pens for you to watch

They turn into prisoners

We are no longer free we are puppets

They forget to feed us

No one notices

Our final days our the worst

We are in such pain

But one thing keeps us going

That maybe one day our babies may finally be free again
