America's Beach House

Sat, 02/17/2018 - 17:42 -- hx.zel

Justice seems to always avoid just us

this system let's white murderers walk

while we are locked up like having melanin is a crime

locked up like we inhale souls and breathe acid.

Us niggas are books being judged before even

getting covers to be looked at.

Systematically oppressed by the government

that claims be here for our benefit,

yet not "our" benefit.

They love to throw crack in the hood

Just to show cracks in the hood.

This country.

These cops.

And the people that stand against us have been

red, white, and bulls***ting for too long so

i give this piece of mind

for peace at mind

if you dont mind

because we are all sick and tired of being sick and tired

sick and tired of being too black to have nice cars

or too black to not treat welfare like our bestfriend,

you know, section 8 and food stamps

too black to flex in the nice neighborhoods, the ones

that privileged barely broke a sweat for

ive got 99 problems

and this system is all 99 of them

sick and tired of the fact that

Black women

Birth black children

like that spent nine months just to birth an Uncle Ruckus

but at the end of the day

Action speaks louder than words

Langston and Maya didnt write to see the end come at their own

Martin and Malcolm didnt spend time in jail for us not to bond

We will no longer rush to a finish line that doesnt exist

But we will burn down America's Beach house known as injustice.
