America's Desperation

America is still beautiful as ever before,

But has strain so far from her start.

She used to stand on the Word of God alone,

But now she stands on strife, hate and war.

Prayer is a foreign idea in schools, public, and streets,

But America sits and weeps and waits for someone to hear.

Our Bible have become mere books on a shelf,

But our country longs for the words to speak life to her people again.

The stars above look down on our country growing so dim,

But only the true Word of God can brighten our skys, and pull us out of the dark spiral.

If we vow to turn our eyes back to the Creator:

Restart our Trust,

Restart our Hope,

Restart our Faith,

Restart our Love.

Only then, can we start a love riot, and return to

In God We Trust.

This peom is inspired by many Christian artists who are seeing Christians being persecuted for their faith, and the need for love and the Word of God in this dark world! Schools will not allow prayer and fight tooth and nail to take away those rights, it is time to fight and start a love riot as the Newsboys would say! Pray for this Country that we might seek God again, and become what we were made to be!
