America's Game

Mon, 03/25/2013 - 13:46 -- radurso

We talk about the blacks and whites
but what about the rest?
There is more than just color in this world
and for that, we must protest.
Although we have fought and fought again
for a world that never comes,
we pray each day hoping that one day we'll all be "one."
"One nation under god"... yet we all just sit back and watch
how the world continues to crumble
from the stereotypes and prejudices that never seem to end.
Look back in history,
did men and women not fight for their rights?
almost die or have died for their rights?
If you're not a white man, you're under appreciated.
Even the President had to prove his name
what kind of game is this, when the same people always win?
"America, home of the free..." but is it?
What do we really live in?
We live in a bubble, everyone staring and glaring cause we are different from one another.
Different ethnicities and races, from so many other places
Color is unique so we should embrace our differences, and
Fight for what is right... until the battle is won.
America, America, we have a long way to go to change this world
for the little boys and girls,
so they can have hope for the future and chase after their dreams,
With nothing holding them back, they will succeed.
