and so i gave him a dollar

And so i gave him a dollar
By nashon kemp

I seen whites run from Black's like we was to blame.
A man trying to beg for money just to feed his famished brain.
I seen a man strung out and down on his luck so i gave him a buck and some wisdom.
When others gave him no fucks and darted criticism.
They portray us all as hoodlums with gold chains and no brain.
But that perspectives whack i rebel against it.

I seen whites scurry in fear eyes full of tewrs from a foreign black famished man walking towards them with open hands.
Arms no doubt weighing heavy against his oxygen ridden brain.
Or his obvious feeling of pain.
Tear dots drop as he looses it ranting off on foolishness.
The system is strong but to those of color it flexes weak.

All in all in my mind i creep.
As i watch these ones over here perform these heinous inhuman deed.
God don't like evil or ugly.
So i do good deeds so he will forever love.

Pass the chains they used to enslave us and free me of my bondage.
My mind
Leaks knowledge for those who want it but nobody grabs it.
Nobody bags it.

Watching this disaster looking thinking hoping this ain't the life I'm headed to.
Shaking my head watching these folks scurry like roaches in light thinking.
We can all use that wisdom tooth.
Let it loose.
I reached in my pocket handed him the contents and spoke the ugly truth.
We're nothing in their eyes but dirt on they shoes.
And then away i flew.
