Appearance Makes All the Difference

Although some think it is ridiculous, others think it is true.
Appearance makes all the difference.
What are we without the proper appearance?
Nothing some say.
Like a hollow shell without value.
Others say this is false like a caged animal's sense of freedom.
Who is right?
I think the one who thinks this is ridiculous is right.
Who can say for sure?
The one who sees the pain from rejection.
For such a simple thing as skin hue.
If only men would learn. I only hope someday that men will learn.
Accept your fellow human no matter their hue.
Skin hue does not make a person true.
It only is what they appear.
Underneath what are they?
With a fair glance we can judge this.
In this way we are fair and true.
If only all men would do this.
Regardless of hue.
