The Bark of Youth

Along a lost dream,
He grieves the loss of reality.

And feigns forgiveness to the dry bones
Of humanity. Society and it’s pillars

Hierarchy of wisdom and folly:
The child, the woman, the man.

So tell me tall tree,
What’s the most epic thing you’ve seen?

And in his shower of wrinkles and majesty,
He twisted and turned and
shared the significance of each ring.

I dare you to remember the hard things,
I dare you to age, gracefully.
