To Be Heard

Location

I don't want to just be heard

I just want you to feel quiet and alone

When you read the words I'm willing to print

I want the buzzing to cease

your eyebrows to crease

your lips to purse

your mind to be at peace

When you read the words I spew

These are the things that you should do

Sit in your favorite chair (don't worry, I wouldn't judge what you decided to wear)

I Don't want you to think about what so-and-so said last week

Or how it made you feel weak

I want you to forget your troubles

and have some peace of mind while I give you a piece of mine

Because I don't write just to be heard,

I write to be more free than Lynyrd Skynyrds bird

I need to get these things out of me so that I can feel alive

These thoughts up in my head, buzz louder than a bees hive.

I write for your peace and i write for mine

Because this is how I can say to everyone 'No it doesn't bother me. Yes, I feel fine."
