Beautiful Slayer

Belle

I live to protect my father

The villagers believe he's not well

Explain that he's a man of pure genius,

They'll just put both of us through Hell

I am perceived as

"the beauty"

useful only for marriage, child-bearing, and care-giving

But they misread me like the words in a story

If only they would let me teach them what they need

learn how to

                    D

                          Read

But before words,

they must read people properly,

Because a person's appearance is not always what it seems

To prove this,

I've devised a scheme

"Go father,

be free,

I'll stay here in your place"

"Belle,

the Beast will kill you"

"That isn't  true"

I live with the misunderstood creature

Who speaks and behaves wildly bold

My eyes however, pierce through his physical features,

At last, Behold

His beautiful personality and history is shown!

A furious mob runs towards us

We have seconds to live

We do the unthinkable

We...kiss

Enchantment, excitement, amusement

My love is a beast no longer

The villagers promise they will be wiser

My first task is complete

Now, with the help of my lover

I'll teach my neighbor's their

The castle's library will be open to everyone, forever

Here I will stay

illuminating their brain's

word by word

I know they are capable

This is enjoyable

The princess who fought vigorously

who's plan unfolded perfectly
