Because I love you...

Because I love you

I changed my life.

Cancelling plans with my friends,

what was supposed to be a fun night.

Because I love you

I accept the pain.

I keep the ink there

on my heart that you stained.

Because I love you

I lie to myself.

I know what you did,

But I sat silent on the shelf.

Because I love you

I turned invisible to my friends.

Friendships that I loved

Quickly came to an end.

Because I love you

I sacrifice my body.

Giving you what you want

And hearing it from everybody.

Because I love you

I sit in bed and worry.

What will happen to us

When we leave for college in a hurry.

Because I love you

I have trouble loving myself.

Wondering If I even compare

To the girls you've previously felt.

Because I love you

I tend to cry.

I just want what’s best for you

And you don't understand why.

Because I love you

My life has changed.

For better or for worse

I will accept your game.
