Because I love You

Mon, 10/16/2017 - 13:05 -- HaydenP

Because I love you, I'll help calm the storm spiraling in your head.

I'll make sure you don't hurt yourself, or someone else.

I'll make sure you feel loved even when you feel alone.

I'll make a blanket that will calm you and remind you of the memories we made making it.

I'll keep you company even if no words are said.

I'll dry your tears.

I'll listen to your rants and cry with you.

I'll weep over heartbreak, over a boy, over a friendship with you, for you.

I'll be your moral support.

I'll be your rock.

I'll keep the nightmares at bay.

I'll stay up all night with you.

I'll hear your cries at night, and I'll come running. I'll give you encouragement and strength.

I'll draw patterns on your back till sleep finally comes.

I'll do anything for you, anything that will make the noise in your head quiet.

I'll play the childhood songs that will bring you back to a better time.

I'll play John Denver to ease your anxiety.

I'll keep you here

I'll keep you safe.

I'll make sure you see how much you are appreciated.

I'll tell you of all the people who have your back.

I'll make sure you see that you are loved.

I'll do all of this because I love you, I love you because you are my daughter and because I've fought the same demons that plague your mind.
