Beneath the Surface

Hidden beneath the masses

The sanctity of being unknown

The impervious splendor of the nameless wallflower

Silently living

Aimlessly dreaming

Our lives intertwine

With those of paradisiacal essence

Who never seem to notice

When they are left

I am one of thousands

I live beneath the shadows

I am a stranger in my own dreams'

 The words I create

Are never spoken aloud

Terrified of recognition

Timid desires

And fatal attractions

Killing the unassured silence

Wilting the introverted petals

Until we are left

With what is beneath the surface
