The Bloody Red, The Scared of White, & Down In Blues

That four corner flag, see it fly

From the sky Blue in my eyes

Yet pride in my land is marked Red

From all the stupid things in this country

The lack of love for the underdog

As my people are homeless

Dead bits on the streets

Without a dollar in their name

Full of fear with their White face covered in Black

Black faces covered in White

Is there not a common part to who we are?

I see that Red blood from a mother shot at noon

Her deep Blue eye, fear White face stare once at me

Then moves to a child, just barely two

Screams for hours as the 16 year old dies in Red

Rich man can’t see the problems

The iphones, The computers

The tablets, The TV

No man can escape its pull

Clouds the mind from what is real

This feel of getting likes

Red, White, &Blue
