Blue and Emerald

In a land of boisterous blue shades and emerald hues

Was where I found thee, you plucking at a morsel of lead

Or perusing through that hardback you read

Or neglecting the bosom you fed

Or guilessly remaining perched atop that window seal as you pled

And pled, and pled, and pled that

Your mind was saturated in color and chrome

And stars of the starriest twilights

And planets of the remotest galaxies

And that they went on and on into infinity

And that infinity was impalpable

Impossible

Immortal

In a land of boisterous blue shades and emerald hues

Was where I found thee, inky as the pit and soul twined

Redefined

Blind

And I wanted, wanted, wanted to

Witness the pink blush scattered across your cheeks

The sheen in your sapphire eyes

As they were their own jewel

Treasure

Gold

Quest

Mystery

In a land of boisterous blue shades and emerald hues

Was where I found thee, desolate and shattered

Tattered

Battered

Statuesque and splendid

And the angels were envious

And the realm was envious

And I, my love was

Everlastingly beholden

Unbroken

Unspoken

Blue and emerald
