Sometimes we find that our lungs collapse,

our minds wrap around the idea of relapse.

We fall to the ground and gasp for air,

why, oh God, is this life not fair?

With hands on our hearts and a knot in our chest,

we murmur in pain and hold tight to our breast.

When will this be over, oh Lord? When will this end?

I though this was over, oh help do please send.

And just like that blew a gust of air,

my lungs started to fill just like a pair.

I heard a small voice inside of my head saying "believe,"

and with that I took a breath and decided to breathe.
