The Bright Side

You have two choices:

Left or right,

Yes or no,

Live or die.

But suicide is not the bright side.

The darkness of self-loathing consumes you,

Swallows you,

Drags you into the pit of blackness.

Grasp and grab,

But there is nothing to take ahold of.

It’s the darkness,

The hate,

The migraine

Of suicide.

The tears,

The metal,

The blood that falls.

It won’t bring you peace,

Suicide is not the bright side.

It is regret.

It is being locked up in a white room.

It is not the answer.

Take my hand,

Let me take you there.

To the land of peace,

The land of acceptance.

There you will be loved as you are.

No matter who you are,

Suicide is not the bright side.

Don’t succumb to the darkness,

To the self-loathing.

Come with me,

I love you as you are.
