Broken Soul

I'll be fine on my own

And your words break my fragile bones.

I'm done with the negativity,

You can wallow in your denial

Because it flows as deep and hard as the Nile.

You can't fix something that's already broken.

You're toxic to me just like the smoke I blow in.

It's like you're my lover and my foe,

I try and try to let you go.

But, yet you still make me feel as cold as the winter snow.

Every time you forget to say "I love you" it's like an instant blow

to the chest.

Whenever I'm with you,

I'm a disastrous mess.
