This Brown Eyed Boy

This brown eyed boy

I have worshipped

As if he were a God

As if a day without his smile, his laugh, his warmth

Would hurt me

As if a night without his touch, his lips, his breath against my neck

Would kill me

Forgive me Lord, oh Lord

This brown eyed boy will be the death of me

I love the way he rests his thumb on my bottom lip

I love the way he speaks my name

I love the way he wraps me in his arms and whispers sweet nothings in my ear

This brown eyed boy

I have praised

As if the very words that flowed from his lips could cripple me

As if the sun would not rise if he were to leave my side

As if he were the definition of beauty in its purest form

Lord, oh Lord forgive me for I have sinned

This brown eyed man that I have come to love

Holds my heart, my life, my soul

All within his big brown hands

I need his laugh, I need his touch , I need his smile

His charm, his strength, his beauty

I need him Lord, I need him!

This brown eyed boy

This brown eyed man

Has come to hold me in his big, brown hands

He is my light, oh God, oh God!

He is my very soul!

Lord please protect my brown eyed boy,

I don't want to be alone.
