The Bully
I called last night
You answered
My voice shook
Yours rang true
That’s how it always is
You break my heart and claim I took yours
My head spins every time we talk
Is it me?
Am I in the wrong this time?
I cry
I scream
Then I remember
I can’t be me if I don’t stand up for myself
You love
But only to control
You care
But only to brag
I am not your toy
I am strong
I am more
More than this bullying
More than your manipulation
I am me
And that is all I will ever need
