Burned Into Saints

Thu, 05/15/2014 - 19:15 -- EAnders

Sparks ignite

The arid fields

And childhood memories

A glow

Hangs like hell above

Bathed in warm light

Flames climb

The walls of the house

In which we once slept

Hopes

Dreams, loss and regrets

In seconds turned to ash

The place

Where you whispered

Secrets in my ears

Consumed

By roaring fires

And engulfed by our fear

Tens of thousands

Swept away

Displaced and fled from home

Standing here

In ashen clothes

Praying to stay strong

Facing on

Armaggedon

We see the human race

Stand together

As they should

Burned into saints
