Calloused Flower

I padlocked the miles so distance could be kept
In a vault where nothing of value could be dreamt
Can you slam my fingers in a metal door
Till they crunch and I can't touch
No not anymore
I could show you better days if I hadn't come around
Not soon enough I'll leave this ol' town
Point to the prisons on my life's map
With nothing left to hold you back
I'll use my compass led by guilt
Following the only thing I've ever built
Trust me when I say I'm better left alone
I know where I belong and what's allowed to feel like home
I'm a calloused flower; not the one you'd want to pick
