Looking,
Searching this world for explanations
Not only explanations,
But evidence
As to why anyone would make someone feel diffident
I have a strong opinion
No ambivalence
Really? Between two colors?
Why do we have to look at anyone as an other?
Because to me, that makes no sense.
Put a penny and a dime together
You'll have some cents
See, as a team, we could even pay the rent
But instead they had to wine
They had to vent
They had to feel like they weren't wrong
Like they weren't the ones who are bent,
Bent out of shape
Who beats another human?
It takes a beast to kill a race
I guess they felt it was a disgrace
To look into another persons eyes
And actually put yourself in their place
What if you were the one getting hit in the face?
Ill never know the motivation
Fearful that it isn't misplaced
Looking,
But never finding
So the only thing we had left
Was to put it in writing
That's all I will have
But honestly
Who needs the reminding?
