A Change for Hope

In this world

I so often see

People hiding from the world

For they do not see hope

Some are even blind

To the thought it could exist,

For what hope is there

In a world so ravaged

By hate, greed, and fear?

And for those who have it

The question arises of how long

That hope will last.

If there was one thing

In this world I would change,

It would be to make a way

For every ear in the world to hear

About a Hope eternal

A Hope that will never fade -

One who never ceases to brighten my day.

You see, I believe

That there is one

Who stepped into the darkness that is the world

And a light shined through Him.

He was the light of the world.

He preformed many miracles -

Things many had a hard time taking in,

But that,

Overall,

Showed there is such thing as hope.

I believe that this One

Is my Savior -

That he died for my imperfections,

While He was perfect.

And on the third day after He died,

He rose from the grave.

That He rose is proof that there is Hope,

That there is a possibility for new beginnings,

That there is hope,

That life has a purpose,

That you can be forgiven.

If I could change one thing,

I would want for everyone to hear

That great news -

That there is Hope in the world

And that they would be given the choice

Before they take their last breath

To accept His sacrifice

To apply for their sins

And be able to find peace

In their lives.
