Childhood

Daddy's best friend liked boys
My's friend Jeff had a boyfriend
And that was fine, I loved them both

My friends were equal
No color, no social class, or inequality
Just friends

I was a girl but I could pick on the boys
They were no different than me
Except they had cooties

Total equality was my reality
Than I grew up
