Choice

Choice

I called out to you in a quiet voice,

A voice so weak, no one heard.

You never looked back.

It was your choice.

I swam so far out in the sea,

A sea so blue and cold.

There was no boat.

Nothing to grab a hold.

I ran so hard down the road,

A road so tough and rugged.

No one has ever walked upon.

It was my choice.

I jumped so high in an attempt to fly

But fell so quick and hit the ground

You didn't care to check.

You were not around.

It was your choice.
