Civil rights are for you and me,
for we need personal liberty.
Whether one is black or white,
freedom of speech is worth the fight.
We can carry a gun, it's our free agency,
and reserve the right of voting for the presidency.
We can worship whatever god we choose,
These rights are something we don't want to loose.
Let them go, what are we then?
Not a free American.
We couldn't let our voice be heard,
we couldn't worship our own Lord.
Our fore-fathers fought and died,
that we might enjoy these rights.
So give me freedom, or let me die,
these civil rights will remain mine.
