Dear America

Dear America, please don't shoot

My whole life  I pledge allegiance  to the U.S.

Put my hand over to my heart and hope to die

The Same flag that made me slave and I've still in chains

Handcuffs they just called it a different name

My teacher asked me what I wanted to be

I told her I just want to be alive

They're killing us left and right in my mind I got to keep a 9

But I would be playing into lie

It's a trap the Civil Right leaders cry

As they turn in their graves

we play this game acting deaf and blind

We come from kings and queens but act like the jester

We're savages they say we ain't nothing better

Just scum of the earth we ain't nothing better

Monkeys roaming around we ain't nothing better

Thugs Fox Network new N word

Fuck this country I should burn this fucking flag down

Then ask what white America what u gonna do now

I'm on my fucking knees screaming don't shoot

But I got a continent lock and willing to shoot

I got my hands up screaming please don't shoot

I was raised by a system that killed Mick Brown and Trayvon Martin

If I got my hood on I'm on I'm up to no good

If I got my hands in my pocket then I must have a weapon

I should burn this fucking flag down ya

They're killing teens they're killing dreams

It's murder plain and a simple to see

It doesn't take 100 days to decided it's a murder

It takes 100 days to tell the people it wasn't

Red the blood of angry men

Black of dark ages past
