Dear Liana

Dear Liana*,

How do you do?

It’s been years

Since I’ve talked to you

I used to feel

Like I was to blame

Because inside,

We both were the same

But somehow you lost

The will to keep fighting

And that is the reason

That I began writing

To cope with the loss

To heal the pain

But I know what you did

Was not done in vain

What you did wasn’t selfish

You were lost and confused

Your thoughts were so dark

You didn’t know what to do

I forgive you, Liana

For how you left me

Recovering is hard

But I know you’ve been freed
