Dear Mom

Dear Mom,

I know I stopped talking.

I know it hurt you.

but what I DID say,

it was all true.

I know I hurt you,

but one thing's for sure.

What you did,

it hurt me more.

You may be my Mother.

You may have given me life.

But the way you made me feel,

that just wasn't right.

I'm supposed to come first.

You're supposed to love me more.

But you took him in

and threw me out the door.

I know you tried to fix it,

but you did it all wrong.

And after everything you've done,

all I can do is be strong.

You used to be important.

I used to be your world.

But it's time to move on.

Sincerely, your little girl
