Dear self-centered community

Wed, 01/10/2018 - 17:44 -- JayL

To all the self-centered people who are blue

I understand you go through stuff

However, others go through them too

And you have to remember it’s not only about you

I know you might say people don’t understand you or know where you’re coming from

But many experience the same in a larger sum

That’s why when someone is discussing their struggles

You shouldn’t automatically assume yours is a larger juggle

Because you never know what they’re holding back

Holding back from releasing

Holding back, by responding with “I’m fine”

When in reality on the other side of that phone nothing is fine

Nothing appears divine

Despite the show that person puts on

That begins with “once upon“

Because nowadays fairytales are what seems to be reality to this person

They try to forget as the reality actually worsens

And as you continue the conversation with your feelings

Now that person has more dealings

So may you not claim no one understands you

Or knows what you’re experiencing

Because you’ll be laughed at even by a king

So no matter what you’re going through

Just remember others may see it from a different point of view

And not everything is about you.
