Dear Uncertainty

Dear Uncertainty,

Maybe

life will turn out good.

I'll be content and have withstood

all of life's roadblocks,

knock on wood.

But maybe

life will take a turn for the worst.

I'll have worked so hard

just for all my dreams to burst.

Is my fate up to me,

or in the hands of the universe?

No one is sure.

No one can know.

So I'll just see where time takes me

and go with the flow.

Life's unpredictable.

It's annoying at times,

but we find solace in the chaos;

it's what makes us feel alive.

Maybe

Life will turn out good.

I'll be content and have withstood

all of life's roadblocks,

knock on wood.

But life's unpredictable.

It's annoying at times.

But we find solace in the chaos;

It's what makes us feel alive.
