Dear Younger Sister

Dear Younger Sister,

You have yet to learn

what life has to bring.

It is not just a song

in which you can sing.

There is rough roads ahead,

but they are short lived,

for once you get past them

much will be forgived.

I wrote this to you

so that you don't forget,

there is much more to this world

you've not experienced yet.

Don't ever stay in one place

or fall into the custom of fear

because the world has so much to offer

both far and near.

Countries and cultures,

Oceans and seas,

there is so much more than what is aorund you,

different plants, animals, and trees.

I want you to realize

that it is okay just go

and see what treasures are hidden,

and what you don't know.

Don't let anyone hold you back

or judge you for who you are,

because regardless of them,

you are your own shining star.

Sincerely,

Your Older Sister
