Deep Blue

Deep blue.

The chilly dark sea I sleep in.

Jellyfish

surround me

like a grove of pink roses,

caving me in.

Petal soft.

A levitating blanket.

I feel myself become more gentle.

Before my supple shell falls

I want to stay here longer.

But the cold torrent calls

so I swim upward

where the storm brews

Midnight black.

The starry surface sky I meet.

The moon

watching me

she says nothing at all,

it’s just a rock,

I tell me.

Cool air.

Vast open from here to outer space.

There is loneliness and exposure.

I can not stay here. I need to get higher.

But that was when I woke up.
