Defined by "Fruits"

Teach me, O God, your joyful ways

as you showed to David the king,

with a harp and a lyre and great jubilee

all praise and honor I bring.

Teach me, O God, your peaceful ways

as you showed to Job the glad,

Take my possessions and children - Satan

God is sovereign, a chance you never had.

Teach me, O God, your patient ways

as you showed to Abraham the old,

"your offspring will be more abundant than the stars,"

a gracious heavenly father told.

Teach me, O God, your kind ways

as you showed to the woman who bled,

for all she did was touch your cloak,

but by great faith she was lead.

Teach me, O God, your good ways

as you showed to the men in the fire,

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

serving You was their one desire.

Teach me, O God, your faithful ways

as you showed to Moses the brave,

with his staff he parted the Red Sea

and send the Egyptians to the grave.

Teach me, O God, your self-contolling ways

as you prayed upon the hill

though you sweat your own blood

you didn't forsake us still.

Teach me, O God, your loving ways

as you died upon that tree

you bridged the gap to salvation

and purchased a place for me.

Teach me these things and help me apply them

and show me what is true,

after all, Lord Jesus, my greatest desire

is to simply honor you.
