We are defined
By the simple mind
The mind of those
That only choose to see color
Discrimination against each other
White and Black
Black or White
Words so sweet
But we make so mean
Martin said he had a dream
A very simple dream
A dream that we would
Look past what's on the exterior
Focus more on the interior
That we would never feel inferior
To people who thinks themselves superior
That we would not be moved
Be broken or be bruised
That "separate but equal"
Would never have a sequel
That we would be strong in our minds
Our hearts and in our faith
That we would not shake
No matter how big the earthquake
That these trials and mistakes
Would create
A better us
A strong us
As strong as Rosa Parks
When she sat on that bus
She light a flame
We all joined the campaign
We all want to be treated the same
