Depression's Castle

Sat, 12/21/2013 - 11:55 -- Brynne

When you’re alone in the castle

When even the mice have gone

When the moonlight shadows stalk

And it’s a long time till dawn

When you cannot hear a voice

Because the walls block out the sound

When the loneliness is close

When the fearful footsteps pound

Remember me

I can walk into the castle

So that you won’t be alone

I can bring a drop of sunlight

To brighten walls of stone

You can listen for my voice

I’ll say your name to make a sound

You don’t have to be afraid

When the darkness comes around
