Did you know?

I skipped dance practice when you were sick.

Did you know?

I saved my paychecks for your birthday.

Did you see?

I told you how much I loved you.

Did you hear?

You asked me to steal the sunglasses for you.

All my friends knew the police stopped me.

You asked me to help you cheat on the math test.

My parents saw the detention slip.

You asked me to take the quiet boy’s homework.

I heard him crying after class.

“Leave him”

I didn’t think about what my friends said.

“Leave him”

I didn’t look in my parents’ eyes.

“Leave him”

I didn’t listen to my own advice.

I asked you to come to my dance recital.

I knew you wouldn’t show up.

I asked you to please respect my boundaries.

I saw you reach up my skirt.

I asked you to tell me how much you loved me.

I heard the lie pass your lips.

Then I started going out with friends more.

I knew I could trust them with anything.

Then I started talking to my parents more.

I knew they would listen and help me out.

Then I started the end of us.

I knew I could love myself again.
