drug

i am my own drug.

i am addicted to finding the love for myself that i know i harbor somewhere within me.

i am my own drug.

i am addicted to learning mysef backwards and forwards, inside and out.

i am my own drug.

i am addicted to taking my tiny little plant and nurturing it until i have a full blossom.

i am my own drug.

but you can't find me on street corners.

because this is far more precious that anything you smoke on a friday night when you want to relax.

"this" is me. "this" is becoming oneself. "this" is art.

listen. can you hear it? i am art. i am art. i am art. i am a goddamn masterpiece.

i am the mona lisa and i won't let myself be stolen anymore.

not by those i love, not by those i hate, and most certainly not by myself.
