ya see
i dont wanna be deceived in this deceivious world full of lies
ya see im sick of the cries and the brief hellos but long goodbyes, and if you loved me like you said you did then it would break yo poor little heart to see my faith die
how could you come into my life without any warning, appointment, or discretion
then walk out leaving bloody tears on my cheeks and a broken heart as your last impression
there's only so many times i can open my heart when i see you knocking
and i don't wanna be a fool but every time you stick your key in my heart it begins unlocking
ya see, i would love to love you like there's no tomorrow
and you can take it or leave it but my love will NOT be borrowed
good intentions
is what you said you had but your actions spoke louder
saying that you're afraid to love because you've been hurt
well so have we all so i hope your pride don't get any prouder
but in the funniest way i'm not even mad at you for selling me fictional dreams
i'm disappointed in myself for even believing that anything in this world could be as good as it seems
but you know what they say
fool are the ones who fall in love so
tattoo foolish on my forehead
because i was so deep in it even cupid's tow truck couldn't pull me out of that hole
going once, going twice, my love was sold
but we could never be together
because i'm tired of being deceived in this deceivious world full of lies
and im SICK of the cries and the brief hellos but long goodbyes
and if you
loved me like you said you did, then you wouldn't ALLOW my faith to die

this poem is about a woman in my life who would always come in and out of my life. she would promise every time she came in my life that she wouldn't leave me again but she always did and it was always inexplicable. she would break my heart by leaving and then just pop right back in my life as if my wounds from the last time had healed. well i eventually got tired of allowing her to do that to me and decided i'm not letting her back in anymore.
