E.A.D

(States the Pledge of Alliance)

E.A.D Stands for employment authorization document (card)

Take a real good look at me

I seem like a regular person right?

Someone you see everyday walking down the street right?

Im employed

I pay taxes

I pay bills

I got no criminal record

So when i get stopped by the police i stand still

Ever since puberty

I've been involved in the community

Learning how to be leader, a world changer

And im trying to go coast to coast man so you can rely on me like a postman

For a passion in any geography, i want to help any demographic

But my life is literally like a movie, smoke and mirrors.

I apologize if  I cause a confusion

the truth is that i'm an alien and a human

I was born in the Dominican Republic

Thats right, with the peloteros

when those who were born in the U.S yall were in that incubator

For me they gave me a shot in my left shoulder that will forever remind me where I came from.

Being an alien is like playing a game of uno, you just have to get that one green card.

Its true that everyone is different, but you have to be a chameleon and camouflage in a diaspora

And sorry to break it to ya but if you dont have a green card dont even think about filling out the Fafsa

Dont you ever take part in a stupid incident, you have to act more innocent than any other citizen

And sometimes your going to have to let it people walk all over you like a floor tile

If you were going to write a story about your life you should title it "The Coast of Exile"

because for much of my life I have lived in fear that someone was going to bust open my front door and arrest me.

I have spent days, weeks, and even months at a time going out of my way to act like a ghost in the City of Boston.

Being an undocumented immigrant isn't bad if no one pays attention to you, but if your father gets deported and your family falls apart it feels as though you and your mother are partners in crime on the F.B.I's most wanted list.

The sidewalk felt like the New World in the era of colonization and across the street looked like Hispaniola.

I know this may sound crazy but I am just stating what I have experienced being a paranoid teenager.

I believe that I am a better citizen to my community than the average U.S Citizen because I appreciate freedom more than they do.

You will get jealous from the benefits they get.

But that don’t mean you can give up!

Work hard, harder than they do, but dont play too hard or you wont ever get to stay here like they do!

Its shameful, and i know it sucks, im just giving advice your going to have to live a life of sacrafice

Remember these notes so you wont get a big L like Meek Mill

We the aliens can make sequel, but dont you ever forget that even a white man said that “All men are created equal”
