EVERYDAY PRINCESS

When I was young I loved to pretend

I would marry a prince and be a princess THE END.

In a way even back then I was right

being treated like a princess from morning 'til night.

As I got older I can now see

even without a castle a princess I can be.

A partner who always shows me respect

that even our ups and downs won't effect.

Unbreakable trust in which I can rely

and knowing he will support me never asking why.

He reaffirms I'm his first priority

and says he needs nothing as long as he has me.

We both help each other to work toward our goals

and we will be unstoppable regardless of life's tolls.

Others can judge or criticize what they see

but the small things are important to me.

I'm an everyday princess who found love that is true

and every action he says is because I love you.
